Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has unveiled new goalkeeper Juan Musso from Atalanta.
Argentine goalkeeper Juan Musso has been unveiled as a new Atletico Madrid player after joining from Atalanta on a one-year loan worth €1.5m with an option to make it permanent for €7m, Marca reported on Tuesday.
Atletico Madrid have sign 30-year-old goalkeeper Musso from Atalanta as back-up to Jan Oblak after Romanian goalkeeper Horatiu Moldovan left for Serie B side Sassuolo this summer, before being unveil by club president Enrique Cerezo.
‘Thank you for the welcome, Mr President. When I knew there was an option to come to Atletico Madrid, it was the right one. To be with the Argentines again, and for Madrid, and for the best team in the world, Atletico Madrid. It was a challenge and a dream come true.’
‘I have very good teammates in Italy, they tell me about the feeling of being at home here. For an Argentine, Atletico is a dream. I promise to give my all. I will respond with my work and my all.’
Asked why he decided to move to rival Oblak, Musso replied: ‘It’s simple. It’s a challenge. Nothing I achieve comes easy. I know I have to compete with one of the best goalkeepers in the world to compete and contribute to a season that I’m sure will be very good. ‘
‘At a club like Atletico, it’s normal to have a goalkeeper Promotion Ufabet like Yan. I came to help, compete and take the opportunity I had. Even though it was difficult to leave Atalanta, I couldn’t let this opportunity slip away.’
